Thanks to all of our bidders and buyers for our annual spring bull bid off sale. We sold 40 bulls into Kansas, Missouri, Virginia, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. The sale's volume buyer was B & D Ag from Texas.

Our highest selling bull was F26, a purebred Beacon son out of an Iron Hide cow at $14,000. F26 was purchased by B&D Ag of Texas. Thank you to Schrader Ranch of Kansas for being the contending bidder. The second highest selling bull was F6, another Beacon x Iron Hide at $7,500. He will also move to B&D Ag in Texas. Thank you to long-time customer, Stuart Craig, from Arkansas for being the runner up bidder. The third highest seller was F12, an Iron Hide son out of a Graduate female. Another herd bull headed to B&D Ag. This was one of the most popular baldy bulls we have ever offered. Fourth highest selling bull was F2, a top heifer bull prospect by Revenant. He sold to Duck Creek Cattle Company, Parry Brigg of Kansas.

The bulls averaged $3,660 this year. We had several new customers viewing and bidding on a strong set of bulls bred for calving ease without sacrificing performance or carcass merit. Thank you all for making all the long hours calving, breeding and just enjoying what we do mean so much. Your friendship over the last 26 years means so much to us at Rock Creek Ranch.

We have made a major shift from our expanded catalog to a spreadsheet design. We did this for our small group of bulls last fall and it was well received. Customers commented they preferred having all the bulls on one page. It made it easy to compare traits or values without flipping back and forth, so we are trying it again this spring.
